Sneaky Ninja by Starfall Studios is in its final days on Kickstarter and just needs fans to pledge another $5,456 (at the time of writing) to hit its initial goal of $10,000. If this happens, the game will be coming to Wii U. If not, Nintendo fans will be missing out on what looks like a fun and unique gem.
Sneaky Ninja is described as “a 2D stealth platformer.” It takes inspiration primarily from classic 2D Mario games, but it adds stealth elements to the mix, making it an intriguing blurring of genre lines. The story is of the ageless conflict between ninja and samurai. There are at least four playable ninjas in the game who decide to take a stand against the invading samurai. Well, stand may be too strong a word, as the ninja are simply trying to discover a way to restore the power of the spirits that kept them safe for so long.
I wish I could issue a call to action to every Wii U owner, because the game looks great (see the Kickstarter trailer below). But I’ll do what I can with those I can reach! Let’s work together and get this game funded!
Special bonus! Look forward to the next episode of the NintendoFever podcast; we’ll be interviewing one of the Starfall Studios staff! This special episode will be available first thing Monday morning!
