Last week, during the Nintendo Direct, a Gold Mega Man amiibo was announced for the Collector’s Edition of Mega Man Legacy Collection on Nintendo 3DS. According to the Capcom UK Twitter account, the Gold Mega Man amiibo is exclusive to North America.
@irishmarcoos @JoshMcIntyr3 Mark is correct the Gold Amiibo is only for North America, the previous Mega Man Amiibo unlocks the same content

It seems the regular Mega Man amiibo unlocks the same content as the Gold amiibo, but fans outside North America wanting the Gold amiibo will be disappointed. The Mega Man amiibo will unlock fan-created content in the Legacy Collection.
Mega Man Legacy Collection releases February 23rd, 2016.
Will you be picking up the game with the Gold amiibo? Let us know in the comments.
