Super Mario Maker has reached the 1 million benchmark in worldwide sales. Nintendo provides us with a few extra statistics: over 2.2 million levels have been uploaded to the game’s online infrastructure, and those courses have been played by fans around 75 million times.
Overall sales for the Super Mario series add up to over 310 million units sold, making it the best-selling video game franchise of all time, not counting the entire Mario cannon.
Considering the Wii U’s continuously dwindling sales, Super Mario Maker’s 1 million is quite a feat.
