Star Fox Zero delayed until Q1 2016

Nintendo has published a translated statement from Shigeru Miyamoto that reveals some sad news: Star Fox Zero has been delayed until Q1 2016.

Mr. Miyamoto explains that the game’s development has been going smoothly, and the development team “reached the stage where it would be technically possible to release the title in time for the year-end holiday season.” A “big decision” was reached, however, that the game needed more polish in terms of the level design, the “unprecedented discovery” made possible by the Wii U’s two screens (whatever that means), and, interestingly, the cut scenes.

The full statement, which you can view here, also includes an apology and a few words on the team’s commitment to meeting fans’ high expectations. What are your thoughts on the delay?
