Game of the Month Club – August 2015: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

August is officially here, so it’s time to start another game for our Game of the Month Club! This month, the podcast guys and I decided to play The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. To those of you who sent in suggestions, don’t worry, you are not forgotten! If anything, it’s our lack of planning that led to this decision; we all own The Minish Cap in some form or another, so it was the easy way to go once we realized time was running out!

For anyone who is new to the NintendoFever Game of the Month Club, here are a few tidbits of info:

  • “It’s like a book club, but with games.”
  • Any game on any Nintendo system is on the table.
  • Feel free to play along and discuss the game with us throughout the month! You can use #NFGameClub on Twitter to make sure we see your thoughts and comments. It might also be a good idea to follow me (@HollyFellmeth), Matt Desind (@OnlyMattDesind), Bradley Kragen (@BradleyKragen), and NintendoFever (@nintendofever) on Twitter.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap was developed for the GameBoy Advance system by, oddly, Capcom. Nintendo published the game in Japan and Europe in 2004, with the North American release following in January 2005. The Minish Cap was ported to the Nintendo 3DS in 2011 as part of the Ambassador program (Matt and Bradley will be playing the game this way) and released as a Wii U Virtual Console title last year, in 2014 (this is how I will be playing).

So ready, set, go! Let’s play some Zelda this month!
