During a Nintendo Direct broadcast on April 1, Nintendo announced that Lucas would be returning to the Super Smash Bros. scene as downloadable content (DLC) for the two current titles in the series on Wii U and 3DS. As promised, the DLC will be distributed this month, on the 14th at 8 a.m. Pacific time, to be exact. It will run fans $3.99 per game or $4.99 for both versions.
Lucas debuted in Mother 3, known as EarthBound 2 in the West, a GameBoy Advance game never localized into the English language. Instead, Lucas’ first appearance overseas came in the form of his joining Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a playable character.
