A dream of many Nintendo fans’ is finally coming to fruition. Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts have partnered to bring attractions based on “Nintendo’s most famous characters and games” to one or more Universal theme park. Neither company has revealed which park(s) yet, but I think it’s a safe bet we’ll see something significant in both Orlando, Florida and Osaka, Japan, the two most prominent Universal park locations in the world.
Other details are sparse as well. We don’t know what kind of attractions to expect or when to expect them. The best clue we have on the subject is in the line mentioned above, that Nintendo’s most famous characters and games will be featured. Does that rule out Star Fox, Metroid, or Pikmin? Only time will tell; in Nintendo’s words: “More details will be announced in the future, as the Nintendo and Universal creative teams work to create specific concepts.” Now that it’s official, though, what are your wildest dreams for Nintendo theme park rides?
